The hot guy I saw today

This morning on my way to college I saw this very playful major-male-model-potential guy froloking in the sun with his mate... so carefree... I love his cute beach boy look but I'm thinking he could be re-styled as a hippy flower child, or a Brideshead Revisited dandy... I also think he should change his name to JONO WOOD-WOOD, like guys get a serious hard on looking at this boy... boy candy... His name is Jonothan Wood-WARD and has already been licked up by NEW YORK MODELS... Let's hope he does brilliantly well...

V

V is my true artistic love 'pour le moment'. I do hope it lasts a very long time with this guy. Vasili is my mentor, teacher, lover, admirer and best friend. I think we are both as quirky and as mad as each other. I'm constantly widening my knowledge of the new when I hang with him. He challenges me to broaden my thoughts on contemporary art practice, yet is extremely supportive of my particular style which has a 1920s - 40s edge and flair. Best of all he gets me excited, teases me, makes me laugh and we have a lot of fun!

AJ

I was obsessed with AJ for quite some time during my university years. I only ever caught glimpses of him buried in books in the library. It turned into a positive experience as I was able to feed my serious obsession with this guy into making paintings and improving my technique and style.

Lily

Lily is the most intelligent 8 year old I have ever met. She is full of vibrant energy, humour and wit and possesses great artistic promise. Her drawings are wonderful and unique. I would like to put on a solo show of her drawings. Even though she is much younger than me, I feel we have an extremely strong connection and I believe in the future, when she is older, we will be very close friends.

Chris

Chris is an art school mate. He has the most adorable moodyness of character, he is brooding yet acutely soft and sensitive. He is brilliantly sensual with his hands and possesses natural ability with his art making. He is particularly strong working with the sensuous qualities of clay to form striking ceramic pieces. His loose painterly touch is also very freeing and seductive.

Asha

I stumbled across Asha at the notorious cabaret show/art performance night, CABSAV, situated in Darlington, Sydney. She was teetering between madness and seduction. She told me of her previous fashion tumultuous modeling escapades and her transition into art.

After an opening.

This is a girl and her boyfriend after the opening of Ray Hughes' second Sydney gallery directed by his son, Evan Hughes, situated in Devonshire Street, Surry Hills, Sydney.

Self Portrait

This is one of the first fashion shows in which I was ever involved. I was 16 when I first modeled for this brilliantly ethereal Australian fashion designer, Akira Isagawa. The memories of this event are poignent as I had not yet been exposed to the turmoils of the fashion industry. In the painted version of this event I have tried to capture a weird combination of my innocence as well as the brooding disruption which was to unfold. It took many attempts of repeated repainting on this canvas to get the desired result. This painting process relates to the 'trying too hard' aspect which was omnipresent in my personality when I was modeling.

Lisa

Lisa is the most beautiful model I have ever met. She was only 12 when she was put on the cover of Australian Vogue. She exudes sex and vulnerability at the same time. We are both Queenslanders and lived together as young models in the 'model house' in Sydney. I was always in awe of her because she presents herself as being very laid back and sultry, when in actual fact she really does give a shit about what people think. Her sexy insecure presentation to the world is mind-boggling.

The Trumpet Boy

I fell in love with this trumpet player at the Rufus Wainwright concert, when he came out for the Sydney Festival in January this year. Sitting 3000 seats away, I could barely see his facial features. I was in awe of his trumpet sound and moves on stage. I was far more taken with him than Rufus! My friends said he was probably twice my age, married with children and living in New York. I hunted him down on Face Book that night and ended up forming a strong relationship with this guy, who, happened to be my age, 25. I ended up stayed with him in his apartment in Brooklyn for 2 weeks. It was the time of my life! The trees in this photo form a letter 'E', alluding to my name. I believe the stars were aligned that special night I took over 100 photos of C.J. The quality of the photographs resulted in being naturally and magically brilliant, like our encounter. Where there is a will there is a way !

The doctor's children

These are the doctors children who live ironically next door to me.
